Our Restaurants

Church and Union features a playful approach on Modern-American cuisine with locations in Charleston, SC, Nashville, TN and Charlotte, NC. 

Church and Union will expand to Denver and Miami in 2024.

The group opened its first restaurant, Church and Union Charlotte in May 2012 followed by Church and Union Charleston in 2015 and Church and Union Nashville in 2021.

Owners and restaurateurs Patrick Whalen, Alejandro Torio and Chef Partner and Top Chef Alumni Jamie Lynch began 5th Street Group in 2012, welcoming Adam Hodgson as a fourth partner in November 2022. 

Offering a casual, yet refined dining experience with a sophisticated ambiance.

Whalen, Torio, Lynch and Hodgson - who together own the 5th Street Group - are also behind the concepts Tempest Charleston, Ophelia's Pizza + Bar Nashville, La Belle Helene Charlotte.
